FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1.) Tell Me About Your Services/ What Does Your Company Do?
Apple In Home Senior Services is a non-skilled in-home personal care company. Our caregivers come to your home, hospital or nursing home to help you with your personal care needs. These needs may vary from companionship, meal preparation to light housekeeping. You can find a more detailed list of our services on our "Levels of Care" page.
2.) What Type of Training Do Your Caregivers Have?
All of our caregivers have at least one year experience in care giving for the elderly. Although we are a non-medical company, all of our caregivers are CPR certified. Each and every client has a detailed emergency plan that our caregivers will follow if tragedy happens while we are there. From time to time, your appointed Case Manager will sit with you and your caregiver for on-going training matters and to ensure you are receiving the top-notch care and service you deserve!
3.) Does Your Company Carry the Proper Licensing and Insurance?
Yes, we are licensed, insured ($1,000,000 liability, $2,000,000 aggregate) and bonded for your protection.
4.) Are Your Caregivers Drug Tested and Background Checked?
Yes, all of our caregivers are drug tested prior to employment with us and also randomly tested throughout their tenure with us. And all of our caregivers are background checked prior to employment for your protection.
5.) How Can I Pay For Your Services?
Currently, there are two methods of payment - Private Pay/Duty and certain insurance companies. Private Pay includes cash, checks and credit cards. We also work with certain insurance companies. Call us to see if we can work with your insurance provider.
6.) What About Medicaid?
We are proud to say that as of March, 2016 we will become a PASSPORT Medicaid Provider! We will be certified to care for Ohio residents who qualify for the program. Contact the Ohio Department of Aging to learn more about this program and to see if you are eligible or visit their site (https://aging.Ohio.gov/services/passport/)
7.) Tell Me More About Your Transportation Services.
As part of our care services program, we offer transportation to clients for matters such as going to church, errands, to and from pharmacy, etc. Our clients find this service to be a major convenience for them. However, there are just a couple stipulations. The client must provide his or her own vehicle and must sign a waiver for liability issues. Furthermore, there is a mileage fee of 0.55 cents per mile that will be billed to the customer.
8.) Will I Be Obligated to a Long-Term Contract for your Services?
Absolutely not! Our clients do sign a service agreement that simply lists the rate they will be paying for services and the days and hours that they will be receiving service. Our services run week to week and you can discontinue our service at any time you wish.
9.) What are the Details on the Payment Process for your Services?
We require all of our private pay customers to pay in advance for their services. For short term care, we will invoice you for the hours that you are requesting. For long term care, we invoice once per week and payment will be due upon receipt. For those who have insurance or are utilizing the PASSPORT program we will just simply bill accordingly. Please note that there is a 4 hour minimum (per visit) for our services.
10.) What are your Rates?
We are proud to have the most affordable rates in the area starting as low as 13.50 per hour for patients that require 24/7 care. We have three levels of care and your rate will be determined by the level of care you or your loved one require. There are no hidden charges or "added" fees for our service!
11.) What if I am not satisfied with your services?
It is our aim and mission to give exceptional care and service to all of our patients. We have a deep love for seniors; it's why we even started our company in the first place. If for some reason, you are not happy with the service your caregiver is giving you, just simply call us and we will replace the caregiver with someone you feel more comfortable with. Your assigned Case Manager will be in constant communication with you to ensure you are happy with our services and any concerns or issues you may have will be dealt with in an urgent manner.
12.) What Areas do you Service?
Currently, we are servicing all areas within the Tri-State area of OH, WV and KY. If you live within a 45 miles radius of Huntington, WV, chances are you are within our service area. If you are uncertain about whether or not you are in our service area, just call us! 1 888 991 7787
13.) How Can I Get Started?
