Meet Becky Morrison; our VP of Operations. Congratulations to Becky on her promotion to VP of Operations in June of 2017. Becky has over 27 years experience in caregiving for the elderly. Becky began her career in senior care in the early 80's as a private caregiver. For almost 20 years, Becky personally cared for a number of seniors. She learned first hand what it takes to properly care for seniors who may have dementia, alzheimer's, Parkinsons, heart and kydney failure, strokes, etc. and clients who are bedridden due to injury or illness. In 2006, Becky began her management career in home care services by taking a position as Care Coordinator with Nanny In A Pinch Senior Care Company. Not only did Becky oversee all the cases in this company but she also built relationships and networked with the local hospitals, nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities to help transition the patients who needed home care services. Becky is very proud of the long-lasting relationships she has built with the social workers who work in the healthcare facilities throughout the tri-state area. In 2009, Becky took her contacts, experience and skills to a start-up company in Huntington, WV; A&A Caregivers. Becky literally built this company from the ground floor. Under her leadership, A&A Caregivers became a prominent name in Huntington's home healthcare industry. In September of 2015, Becky took a position as Director of Operations for Apple In Home Senior Services. Becky is literally the face of Apple! Becky oversees the entire operation at Apple In Home Senior Services. She is also in charge of all the care assessments here at Apple and she has a meaningful and loving relationship with each and everyone of our clients. Our company would not be where it is today if it were not for Becky Morrison. She brings a sense of love and compassion coupled with a wealth of knowledge and leadership that cannot easily be duplicated anywhere else in this industry. We are so proud to have her on our management team!
Mrs. Melissa Wentz
Meet Melissa Wentz; our Senior Caregiver. Melissa has always had a passion for helping others. There was no one else on this earth who was more special and dear to Melissa than her great-grandfather, Shelton Wallace. While in high school, Melissa helped her family take care of Mr. Wallace as he was bed-ridden due to old age and illness. Melissa helped and cared for her great grandpa until his passing in 1993 at the age of 105. Melissa says she has always felt in her heart that it was a "calling to help others" which finally led her to enroll in Nursing School in early 2010. Melissa was a stand-out student at the ITT Technical Institute Nursing Program. In 2014, Melissa was selected to write a story which she entitled "Nursing School Is Not For Sissies" that was published in the official publication of the West Virginia's Nurses Association, 'West Virginia Nurse'. During her tenure in nursing school, Melissa took a position as a Patient Care Tech for Cornerstone Health Care Group located in Huntington, WV. At Cornerstone, Melissa gained a ton of experience in caregiving for the elderly. In August of 2015, Apple In Home Senior Services hired Melissa as it's very first caregiver. Melissa has an extreme work ethic but it is her compassionate and loving nature that she has for her clients which sets her apart from her peers. Melissa is our "go-to" caregiver and she has become the epitome of what a caregiver should be and is a shining example to her co-workers and subordinates here at Apple. In May of 2016, Melissa graduated from ITT Tech with an associates degree in Nursing. As of now, Melissa is set to take her board exam to become an R.N. She has worked very hard to get where she is today and we are so proud of her. It's Melissa's relentless work ethic, knowledge and experience, compassion, and her heart of gold which makes her a very valuable asset here at Apple.
